You can belong at CLC without believing what we believe. That said, our beliefs influence who we are and what we do.

We believe in one perfect God who created everything. We believe this God wants a personal relationship with us.

We believe that there is a moral law, and that this law was given to us by God. As imperfect people, we are all incapable of following this law perfectly. Breaking that law is what we call sin, and just like breaking the laws of government, there is a fine to be paid for sin. Until that fine is paid, we are separated from God.

Desiring a relationship with us, God came to earth as Jesus. He lived a perfect, sinless life and died on the cross as payment for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. Through belief in that act we are now able to have a relationship with God.

We know that being in a relationship with God does not make us perfect. But we do believe as we spend more time with God, we become more like Him, which means we continually get better at being in relationships with other people.
